I enjoyed blogging my thoughts on To Kill A Mockingbird. Something I enjoyed is that I got to see how others thought and like their reasons for thinking that way. And I liked to see that people that don't normally talk during the Shared Discussion had feed back. Although I liked using the blog something's I didn't like was that some people would wait to type there response until someone else posted and they would just copy what the other person said and they would not think for themselves they would take other people thoughts. This platform actually help my knowledge of To Kill A Mockingbird because if I was to mess up on my post with some false information someone comment on my post and correct me. And that goes for anyone, so I don't think it only helped my it helped others too. Some recommendations I could offer is to like to recommend this book to other schools for them to teach it to other 8 graders as we'll.

    1. I 100% agree with you because to kill a mockingbird is a great story to blog about because you get the meaning of the story more deeper

    2. @thomesha I agree with your b/c there were many people who had opened up more and spoke about what they thought. I think they preferred the blog rather than talking in front of the class.

    3. @Thomesha I agree with you because when we have the class group talk I hate sharing in front of the class but I always blog when we have a question I feel that blog help is get more people to share out in front of the class cause it don't be a lot of people talking when we have a group talk.

    4. @Darneisha thanks but I was actually referring to you mostly because I hated the fact that you didn't speak up more.

    5. True I understand at first I was shy to speak but then it got fun and I knew everybody so I just start talking, sometimes my heart start beating fast I be nerves and don't be sounding right so sometimes I don't be wanting to talk

  3. On the Blog of To Kill A Mockingbird, I really enjoyed it. I think the blogging was a great activity because everyone discussed what they thought about the book and we had debating comments towards each other's posts. I also think everyone learned something new off of their peers posts. Everyone had their own opinion and no one judged anyone because of what they thought. One thing I didn't like about the blog is NOTHING!!! everything went great for me and I didn't have any problems What so ever. The blog helped me a lot and that's basically how I learned more about what was going on in the book because there were most parts in the book that I didn't understand. I feel that everyone put their hard work in what they responded to and This was a great experience for me and everyone else who volunteered.

    1. @Darneisha I agree with you because we put hard work to have a better understanding of the book

    2. @Darneisha I agree with you because it was some interesting debates on the blog but I just wish there was more of those though.

  4. Something I enjoy about blogging is you can share you thoughts and you don't talk out loud and we had disagreements, agreements and something and C-E-R where you argue and debate about. Something I didn't like about this when I type or someone else type it doesn't make any since and we get miss spelling word even thought we do the same when we writing or talk it seem to be different Maybe because everyone can see it besides mr. C it's embarrassing. We'll I've never experience a book like To Kill A Mockingbird, I mean like the way Harper Lee thought had me confuse because she uses things like literary terms, literary device, point of view, characterization, etc. I like the ending of this book but I don't think I would offer any recommendation because I want them to learn the way I did most likely the hard way you can't score high if you don't read I've learn and then read it but it's like the middle towards the end is what I like, even though your not going to enjoy books all your life. You have to read books all of A kind you may not like it but it may be about what went on in the history something you would have to do eventually, so I decided to read the book To Kill A Mockingbird because it's going to come up again and again in my future!!!

    2. @starr I agree with you because I didn't understand Harper Lee's spelling but I understood what she was saying. I think the blog helped us to better understand the book and what the author meant.

      Delete
    3. @Starr I agree because some people don't like talking in front of the class and other people that talk a lot will take away the answer from the person that don't talk a lot but, on the blog it's different we can explain our answers differently.

  5. OMG WHERE DO I START!!!! I love blogging. It's so intersecting and I could just be on it all day long. It's intersecting because you could see what other people think and they thoughts on it then you could comment on there post which makes a lot of sense because you just speaking your mind giving your opinion matters and what you think. Blogging really helped me understand the book more better like if I didn't know what something means in the book I could look at one of my classmate post and see what they have then I will basically learn from them so blogging could help you learn from your peers. The platform was WONDERFUL you could see everyone thinking on just one blog. Basically it was a purpose of this blog and the purpose to me was what I like to call it Meca thinking about your thinking and thinking about someone else thinking it's like a group thing you putting your thinking and your classmates is putting they thinking as we'll. like I stated in the beginning it affect the quality of my experience with To Kill a Mockingbird by making me understand the things that I don't understand more better just by my team which is my classmates. The recommendations I will offer like if you didn't read this book please read it and you could make your own blog and invite friends and family use something positive in your life get off of Facebook and Instagram for a while and get on something that will help you Facebook and Instagram is not what's going to do it you have to think with a opened mind.

    1. I agree with you Lasharay. Facebook and Instagram is damaging our brains. You are basically saying "Instead of strolling down the news feeds, they should be strolling down the blog!!"

    2. I agree the blog help me cause I was able to see what everyone us think and put my thoughts up. But best of all I'm not a type of person who talk in front of everyone in a group talk but i was able to write it on the blog

    3. @lasharay I agree with you because I learned something from my peers as we'll and they helped me figure things out that I wasn't sure about. I would like to thank my peers!!!

The blogger was interesting because it was more people comment then when we have a group talk about it in class. We basically get to see what everyone have to say. When we have a group talk most people don't like talking in class and don't like sharing their thoughts cause they think somebody will have something to say about it but With the blog more people was comment because they don't have I problem with write it. It was a problem when they have to sharing it out loud. Something I did not like about the blogging is that when you comment something on other people comment they don't answer or response to what you ask or what you say. The blog made me want to keep reading cause it was very interesting question on here that I want to answer. I recommend that every 8th grader should read this book and will teach you lesson throughout the book.

    1. I couldn't say it more better!! I totally agree with you that's just me I don't like talking in front of the class but I could write in a minute.

    2. @lasharay Right everyone don't like talking they will take writing before talking cause it a different when you talking you have to make sure don't nobody have anything bad to say about what you talking about. I'm that type of person that why I don't talk when it come down to group talks about the book or anything

    3. @Ralphelle I agree with you I basically said the same thing. The blog is what made me want to catch up. At first I was behind in my reading but then I realize how much people were engaged and then I was one of the first ones done with the book.

    4. @ralphelle I agree with you because the blog influenced me to read the book and there were a lot of great questions that we had to answer and there were many responses that I could've connected with.

  7. We'll from this experience of the blog I can't really say I liked it or in joyed it because I didn't like it the reason why I didn't like this blog because people steals others peoples ideas and they don't think about what they have to say. Also I thought it was a waist of time because I don't know about everyone else but I would rather write on paper my own blog post questions that way I wouldn't have to worry about typing nothing. I could say that the blog post questions was a good thing because I could understand what I had to do and what was going on but other then that I'm fine with writing. It really didn't effect my understanding on the book TKAM because all the guest ions as in blog posts where referring to the novel. The recommendations I could offer to is that the book where reading other schools should find out about it but on the other hand, the blog I really don't care for.

    1. @sanwon I agree with you because there was a lot of people that focused on what others had to say and wouldn't write their own thoughts down. I think everyone should have their own opinion.

  8. Blogging was a very respectable experience for me, It made me think more complex and helped me see the world and book different. What I think is most tip-top about blogging is seeing what my peers thought. I felt it was appropriate because it helped us class members interact in a sustainable amount, it brought us closer to the book and helped us want to read, without this blog I think we would of never enjoyed the book the way we did. Thanks to the blog it helped us come up with our own conversation in person which made for a memories. I feel All 8th graders would have an extraordinary time just blogging about things they notice in books they read.

    2. You just killed it all. I agree 100%. It did bring us closer to the book and made us interact more. It actually made the conversation more interesting as well.

  9. Blogging was a very decent/reasonable experience for me. The most memorable thing of my whole time blogging was the fact that I was able to interact with my classmate and get and give information that was helpful to better my understanding of the book. Even though this was a decent experience for me the thing that I believe can better this experience for the next group of kids is the way that the technology is setup. The technology for use was at times inaccurate and not in use. So that deprived us of a opportunity to interact with the blog at times. But if this is established in the beginning of the school year for the next group of students then I believe that they could have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time with there blog.

  10. The blog was very interesting through the process of students making great comments and making great arguments on other people's post. On the other hand the blog was very useful to us because it helped us write how we feel about the blog.

My recommendation for people is to read and teach this book to there students because it teaches life lessons, people may not like the book because it does start of boring but as you go on the book get interesting I say too people to read this book.

  11. I think that blogging is a great way to express your feelings and opinions about the book,I also think blogging is a great way to see how your friends and classmates feel about the book, and to also give them creative feedback on their opinions about the book.

  13. Being able to use technology to communicate with my peers was appealing. But for me being able to have an debate with my peers would have been more interesting and the blog posts would have kept whole of what was said. I never really read an book like To Kill A Mcokingbird so it was something new for me. I would recommend this book to other 8th graders but also to everyone. Blogging help me understand what others thought about situation in the book compared to what I thought.

    1. Exactly! Blogging was something that made a purpose of its self like maybe someone really didn't understand the book as much as the other student did.

  14. I enjoy blogging about To Kill A Mockingbird because I got to see other people opinions and reasons on why they thought this way. Also, I got reference back from my classmates on why they agree or disagree about my argument. What I didn't like about blogging was when some people will judge you on misspelled words. My experience with To Kill A Mockingbird was interesting because I learn a lot from the book. The recommendations I offer is other people should read this book because it's engaging and complex.

  15. What I enjoyed about blogging was that as a user of the blog and a student I was able to share my thoughts on other peoples post without having my thoughts said before mine and I was able to participate in giving constructive criticism and receiving constructive criticism and building a better argument off of that. the thing I didn't like about the platform we used is sometimes when I blogged I wasn't able to express myself the way I could if we discussed the book. I felt like I could get down my thoughts just fine, but sometimes I couldn't rearrange them and put them all down on the iPad without making sense. There was also a lot of technical difficulties when we were use if the iPads and people started to get restless and irritated quickly with it.this book makes me want to read more because it shows how real life events could be interpreted and turned into a novel about maturity and lessons could be learned form this book.I would recommend this to 8th grade teachers to teach because it not only focuses on racism that happened in the south but the complexities of the world and how it works. It also sends across a strong message that both African Americans and white people could benefit from learning but I think it would be confidential that white people learn this lesson the most because after they see that everyone is made equal and in the end there really is no white of black then they would start to see what life could bring them and in there own way it would be like there coming of age.

One thing I liked about the blog was that people was free to express how they felt about the story . Another thing that I liked about the blog is that I can see how other people thought about other people post and how some of the comments was positive . There is nothing that I did not like about this blog the recommends that I can offer is if you have not read To Kill A Mocking Bird do so because this is a great story and you can learn a lot from it

  17. I believed that this blog was a big part of my writing experience. When I first heard that we was making a blog I thought it was going to be boring and timeless because I didn't never experience blogging before but after this blog page I realized how important this blog my literacy. It helps they class communicate Ina much better way because we get to use C-E-R chains to help our argument much better. This also help me understand the novel To Kill a Mockingbird. The blog is better than shared inquiry discussions because people that don't talk can get there point across and engage more and, the people that talk a lot want just hog up the talking and everyone will get there point across. I really didn't have nothing that I didn't like because if I can get my point across and be engage in literature I am ok. The effect that it had on me understanding To kill a mockingbird was great because it helped me understand it and if we would have never did this my understanding of the book would have not been so deep. What recommendations I would offer is that every child that is 13-15 should read this book because it will help them in the future and will give them knowledge about the past.

  18. I enjoyed everything about blogging because it helped me bring out what I really thought about the book it also helped me understand certain things in the book and it taught me how to show others how I really think it was really fun doing a blog.... To be honest I liked everything about the blog it was a good way to learn about a lot of things it helped me out a lot so there was nothing about the blog that made me dislike it...But it also make me think more into the questions it helped me get through the book without any problems

what I have enjoyed about the blog post is that it was showing how people as my classmates had different thoughts to a questions. And also what I have enjoyed about the blog post is that my classmates had agree on people post. And also most peoples in my class room agreed on what people had post. What I didn't like about the blog is that sometimes when it is a question that I have to responded to is difficult to answer because I did not read it. But sometimes I try my best. And sometimes my technology with the typing was irrating why because my keyboard was getting stuck. And this book affect the quality of me by , having a lot of technology to use for a blog post. The recommendation that I can use from the book is that when Scout and Jim had found the gum in the tree why I like this part is because , it reminds me when I had some gum stuck in my hair. And that gum can stick. In what I believe that in the story when Scout in Jim had found the gum in the tree that was a connection to stick together why because it was lots of racism that was going on in the story.
